I have always loved the arts. I couldn't live without music, I enjoy plays, I love movies, but I am most fascinated with photography. I have always had a camera since I was little, but I never realized how much I got out of photography until later in high school. Now, I'm not sure if you would be able to pry a camera out of my hands even if you wanted to.
I do black and white photos as well as color. I particularly enjoy macro pictures. For some reason, I always end up getting shots of bugs and other little critters. There are so many things to capture on film, and there is so little time! I have been known to run franticly across the yard trying to get a shot of something.
At the same time, I also have a special place in my heart for portraits. Capturing a person is hard to do. A portrait is not just supposed to be a picture, it is supposed to tell a bit about a person and what's going on. Sometimes it just works, but not always.
